Relief Counselor - Stevens Street
About the role
Join our Relief Team as a Relief Counselor and play a crucial role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges by helping them live independently and beyond their perceived limitations. This position offers flexibility to manage your personal, work, and/or school schedule while gaining valuable experience.
Relief Counselors provide direct support care, ensure daily living needs are met, and maintain a safe yet inspiring atmosphere. The organization recognizes skills, location, training, and populations served in certain programs by offering an additional hourly differential—ask your recruiter if this position qualifies.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized, person-centered support plans.
- Help individuals access community resources and/or provide transportation as needed.
- Implement activities that promote skill development, community engagement, personal growth, and meaningful relationships.
- Review and complete all required documentation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record (required).
- Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.
Pay
$17.50 per hour.

- Generous paid time off plan: 29 days (almost 6 weeks) in your first year, including 12 paid holidays. Increases to 32 days in your second year, with a current maximum of 43 days (over 8 weeks).
