Reliability Project Manager
About the role
The Reliability Project Manager leads productivity and reliability improvement projects focused on eliminating losses and performance constraints. They apply structured project management and reliability methodologies to deliver low-cost solutions on accelerated timelines.
Responsibilities
- Leverages structured project management and reliability methodologies to deliver low-cost solutions on accelerated timelines.
- Ensures projects deliver measurable improvements aligned with plant performance goals and KPIs.
- Partners closely with Process Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, Process Engineers, and Operations leadership to drive execution.
- Sustains reliability improvements through hands-on collaboration.
- Tracks and reports key performance metrics including availability, rate, and repair and maintenance costs.
- Supports improvement of Garner PCS KPIs, including availability, realized rate, and cost per kilogram.
- Improves uptime, reliability, and performance of utility assets supporting plant operations.
- Maintains a visible and consistent presence on the manufacturing floor.
Requirements
- Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, minimum 3 years’ relevant experience working in a production environment or warehouse operation.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).

Zinpro Position Summary: Reporting to the Reliability Engineer, the Reliability Project Manager is a key contributor to Zinpro’s success by leading productivity and reliability improvement initiatives throughout the Zinpro Garner manufacturing facility. Work will center around reliability improvement, equipment selection, equipment management, project management, and other activities related to successful and world-class operation of the plant. This role partners closely with Plant Management, Process Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, and Process Engineers to improve asset performance, reduce cost, and optimize production throughput using data-driven decision making and continuous improvement tools. Success in this position requires strong analytical and project management skills, including the ability to lead and execute activities of varying complexity in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role is based at Zinpro’s manufacturing plant in Garner, Iowa.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Regularly exposed to airborne particles and hazardous chemicals.
- Frequent exposure to hot and cold conditions.
- Variation in noise levels from quiet to loud.
- Regularly required to stand.
- Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Schedule Requirements
This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours meetings with plant personnel on other shifts as well as conference calls with overseas business teams as needed.
Travel Requirements
This position will work primarily at their home manufacturing plant facility and is expected to engage in company-sponsored travel approximately 10-15% of the time. Travel will consist primarily of visits to Zinpro Corporate Headquarters and manufacturing facilities.
