About the Role

JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). We develop and maintain realistic, integrated test and training environments, preparing war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today’s missions and tomorrow’s global challenges. JT4 is hiring multiple candidates for Reliability and Maintainability Engineer positions, ranging from entry to senior levels. Salary ranges will be based on skill level and education.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement maintenance strategies based on predictive and preventative maintenance data.
  • Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify system or component failures.
  • Design and execute reliability tests to ensure equipment operates according to specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to integrate new technologies and methods that enhance reliability and performance.
  • Use statistical tools and software to analyze data and make informed decisions to improve system reliability.
  • Prepare reports and documentation to record findings and recommend improvements to senior management.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of maintenance interventions and system modifications to ensure reliability improvements.
  • Apply reliability engineering principles and best practices across projects and processes.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers and technical teams to ensure reliability requirements are met in new designs and upgrades.
  • Establish and maintain a database for tracking performance failures and improvement measures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reliability Management: Analyze system performance to identify potential failures and implement preventive measures.
  • Maintainability Oversight: Design and optimize maintenance procedures for quick and efficient system restoration.
  • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Develop maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, and perform root cause analyses.
  • Failure Analysis: Investigate equipment failures, perform statistical analyses, and recommend improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work with operations, maintenance teams, and other engineering disciplines to implement reliability strategies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of maintenance activities, reliability metrics, and improvement initiatives.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure equipment and systems comply with safety regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong technical knowledge of military aircraft and developmental test and evaluation processes.
  • Proficiency in reliability engineering tools, statistical analysis, and failure mode analysis.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for operational issues.
  • Ability to develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills for cross-department collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with 4+ years of related experience, or Master of Science in Engineering with 2+ years of experience, or Doctoral degree in Engineering.
  • Mastery of engineering concepts, principles, and practices to serve as a technical authority.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools.
  • Planning and organizing skills, with the ability to investigate and solve hardware/software problems.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance up to Top Secret with special access.
  • U.S. citizenship.

Pay

The expected salary range for this position is $110,000 to $185,000 annually. JT4 considers factors such as responsibilities, experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market conditions when determining offers.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a typical office environment with occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting, computer use, and mental alertness. Travel to remote company locations may be required.
