Release Integration Engineer
Location: Hayward, CA
Pay Range: $60-$69/hour + Benefits
About the role
Manage code-change flow into End of Line (EOL) and manufacturing branches, ensuring disciplined merging and cherry-picking of validated fixes across multiple Git branches. Execute and triage tests hands-on by running build integrity and EOL test suites, analyzing results, reproducing failures, and routing issues to engineering teams. Cut and announce releases to the manufacturing line, tagging and publishing validated software and firmware images with comprehensive change logs. Protect homologation-sensitive branches by ensuring only validated changes reach branches certified for public-road use, maintaining strict revalidation protocols. Drive operational rhythm by publishing daily status updates, gate test-run decisions, and coordinating across teams under live production conditions.
Responsibilities
- Manage code-change flow into End of Line (EOL) and manufacturing branches, ensuring disciplined merging and cherry-picking of validated fixes across multiple Git branches.
- Execute and triage tests by running build integrity and EOL test suites, analyzing results, reproducing failures, and routing issues to engineering teams.

Requirements
- Fluency with Linux and command line interfaces.
- At least 2+ years of experience in Git version control systems, including cherry-picks, conflict resolution, and multi-branch workflows.
- Technical literacy with complex hardware/software systems, capable of understanding component integration and communicating effectively with engineering teams.
- Aptitude and motivation to become an expert in test execution and triage processes.
- Strong process discipline complemented by clear, concise written communication skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate and escalate issues across teams under time-sensitive conditions, demonstrating sound judgment for go/no-go decisions.
