About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide unbelievable member experiences during in-person and phone interactions, identifying member needs and positioning VyStar financial solutions.
- Identify member cues, ask open-ended discovery questions, and grow consumer and business relationships.
- Handle personal and business account transactions, open accounts, and process loan applications.
- Explain basic credit and savings options and refer more complex products, mortgage solutions, investments, and insurance.
- Offer additional services such as account maintenance, notary, wire transfers, savings bond redemption, safe deposit box services, fraud claims, and credit card disputes.
- Support and participate in Credit Union initiatives and campaigns.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion while maintaining compliance with established limits and guidelines.
- Work independently to accomplish tasks, demonstrating integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism.
- Embody a positive and professional attitude with members and partners, resolving member problems independently.
- Lead by example through community service, supporting the VyStar brand.
- Utilize excellent verbal and written communication skills, engaging proactively with members through outbound calls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED required. Associate’s degree preferred.
- Previous experience in sales and/or customer service, community service, military service, asking questions, offering recommendations, and making referrals, preferably with a financial institution.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using the Internet and Microsoft Office.
- A professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
- A genuine passion for sales.
