Relationship Manager II, Corporate Banking Relationship Management - Innovation Banking

Responsibilities
- Acquire, orchestrate, and grow entire client and ecosystem relationships, deepening relationships with key positions in late-stage companies, and serve as a thought leader in advisory sales.
- Advise senior leaders in late-stage companies and provide beneficial referrals by cross-selling across the entire commercial platform to address client business needs; orchestrate cross-functional teams to optimize the client experience; and build real relationships to differentiate the bank with all key influencers in the technology ecosystem.
- Ensure controls are in place, managed, and addressed, and elevate and mitigate any emerging risks within the team across the business unit.
- Support the positioning, advising, originating, selling, and negotiation of financing solutions for Corporate Banking clients.
- Partner with the SVB Credit Solutions team to work through concept packages, underwriting, and portfolio management of credit facilities and strategic conversations with SVB Credit partners, including assisting with modeling, memo write-ups, and diligence calls with clients.
- Build deep relationships with existing clients at all levels of the finance and treasury team to ensure multiple contact points and proactive support for all their needs, including cross-sell opportunities.
- Responsible for new business development, expansion of existing relationships, and advancement of the SVB brand in the market, including identifying and hosting unique events for personal engagement and professional development to connect with clients, prospects, and relevant referral sources in partnership with market leadership.
- Maintain a pulse on the technology ecosystem, trends, and identify how they would impact clients and prospects.
- Develop fundamental knowledge of all non-credit related banking products, including FX, trade finance, liquidity, asset management, private banking, and cash management services.
- Expertise in proactively identifying banking solutions and products, developing and closing cross-selling opportunities within the assigned portfolio, and managing internal stakeholders throughout delivery of the platform to clients.
- Manage successful brand delivery to the client and act as an owner to follow through on client needs and build relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience in either a leveraged finance, investment banking, or technology commercial banking/finance role.
- OR High School diploma or GED with 8 years of experience in either a leveraged finance, investment banking, or technology commercial banking/finance role.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 years of experience in commercial banking, venture capital, or Relationship Management and/or industry-specific knowledge in technology.
- Strong relationship management and ability to engage with clients.
- Strong focus and ownership of the overall client experience.
- Ability to work with remote resources and take ownership of tasks to drive results-based outcomes.
- Strong interest and experience focused on the innovation economy and Venture Capital/Private Equity space.
- Ability to promote a strong risk culture and sustainable risk/return thinking.
Pay
For Denver, the base pay for this position is generally between $152,925.00 - $203,900.00. For Seattle, the base pay for this position is generally between $159,900.00 - $213,200.00. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
