Responsibilities
- Establishes profitable new customer relationships and deepens existing relationships by matching financial needs with appropriate banking products.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of client needs, providing integrated delivery of financial products/services that meet clients' needs while adhering to bank policies and procedures.
- Achieves assigned sales targets and goals while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Develops and manages prospect lists, actively calling on prospects to solicit and develop new relationships.
- Works closely with branch staff and other customer-facing roles within the bank to identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and cross-train staff on lending products.
- Identifies treasury management product, deposit, and lending opportunities within the existing portfolio and external prospects, working with the Treasury Management Officer to effectively implement new products/training with clients.
- Communicates the status of opportunities consistently to Senior Management through regularly scheduled meetings and on an as needed basis.
- Assists team in preventing and/or resolving customer issues.
- Responsible for assigned customer credit quality and reporting requirements, consistent with the Bank's loan documentation and credit policies.
- Collaborates with lending, business development, and operational teams to provide hands-on support as a deposit and treasury product expert.
- Maintains a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding, Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
- Performs and assists in other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Relationship Manager I
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- One year or more of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience is preferred, but not required.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, read, analyze, and interpret many different types of communication.
- Experience working with others in a team setting to meet client needs and respond promptly to client requests.
- Willingness and ability to effectively recommend bank products and services that meet client needs.
- Willingness and ability to follow bank policies and procedures along with federal and state regulations while performing all other duties of the job.
- Basic knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Previous experience with spreading software such as Moody’s, Baker Hill, CreditQuest, or a similar product is preferred but not required.
Relationship Manager II
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Detail oriented with an ability to analyze and solve basic and more complex customer issues in a timely manner.
- Three years or more of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, read, analyze, and interpret many different types of communication.
- Experience working with others in a team setting to meet client needs and respond promptly to client requests.
- Advanced knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of industry specific software such as Moody’s, Baker Hill, CreditQuest, or a similar product.
Relationship Manager III/Market Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Seven years of relationship management experience.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team that collaborates well with internal partners/departments.
- Strong sales and business development skills with a track record of achieving sales targets and managing a team by monitoring sales activities and achieving team sales targets.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, read, analyze, and interpret many different types of communication.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills.
- Ability to lead a team of several Relationship Managers, tracking sales activity, involved in calling efforts, and monitoring/tracking deal flow.
- Advanced knowledge of computers and computer software such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of industry specific software such as Moody’s, Baker Hill, CreditQuest, or a similar product.
Pay
Base salary commensurate with experience and standard employee benefits package.
Schedule
Office environment requires sitting and/or standing for one or more continuous hours, some travel within the bank footprint for client appointments, bank meetings, and community events.
