About the role

As a Relationship Banker in a Chase Branch, you will represent our brand and culture with the utmost hospitality, using the latest banking solutions and cutting-edge financial technology combined with friendly and attentive service. You will take a lead role in acquiring, managing, and retaining meaningful relationships with clients, using your financial knowledge to offer thoughtful solutions to help address their financial needs and make their lives easier, contributing to the success of the branch.

Responsibilities

  • Put clients first and exceed their expectations by delivering attentive and friendly service, creating a welcoming environment.
  • Manage assigned clients and proactively meet with them, both in person and over the phone, to build lasting relationships, understand financial needs, and tailor product and service recommendations.
  • Engage in clear, polite, consultative communication to understand and help clients, building trust by asking questions and listening to anticipate their needs.
  • Educate and connect clients to technology solutions such as the Chase Mobile App, Chase.com, and ATMs to help them bank whenever, wherever, and however they want.
  • Learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately to effectively consult with clients about banking solutions, and collaborate with a team of experts to address specialized financial needs.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of sales experience in Retail Banking, Financial Services, or other related industries with proven success in establishing new clients, deepening relationships, and delivering results.
  • Ability to create memorable experiences for clients and elevate their experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and over the phone, with the ability to tailor features and benefits of products and services to clients with differing needs.
  • Ability to quickly and effectively resolve client issues with attention to detail, providing a consistent client experience.
  • Operate within established risk parameters and meet internal/external risk and compliance obligations, including completion of required training.
  • High school diploma, GED, or foreign equivalent.
  • The Securities Industry Essential (SIE) exam, FINRA Series 6, state registration (including 63 if required), and Life licenses are minimum requirements. All unlicensed applicants must obtain these licenses through JPMC's licensing program within 180 days of hire (study materials and support provided).
  • Ability to work branch hours including weekends and some evenings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree or military equivalent.
  • Experience adhering to banking policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Additional Requirements

This position is subject to the Dodd Frank/Truth in Lending Act qualification requirements for Loan Originators. An employment offer is contingent on JPMC's review of your criminal conviction history, credit report, information available through NMLS, and other relevant information to determine financial responsibility, good character, and general fitness. Any felony conviction within the last seven years will disqualify you from consideration. Continued employment requires compliance with Truth in Lending Act/Dodd Frank Loan Originator requirements.

This position also requires National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008. Upon active employment, you must register or update your existing registration to reflect your employment with JPMorgan Chase. Continued employment is contingent upon compliance with the SAFE Act, including successful registration immediately after your start date and timely completion of annual renewal and required updates thereafter. Any information obtained during registration may impact your employment.
