About the role
As a Relationship Banker, you’ll process routine financial transactions for members in-person, over the phone, and by email while building strong rapport and offering tailored products and services to meet their financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Process routine financial transactions—deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks—while ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to internal procedures
- Establish and maintain member deposit and loan accounts
- Provide high-quality member service by promptly addressing concerns and escalating to leadership when appropriate
- Proactively identify and recommend products and services to meet members’ financial needs; partner with insurance, investments, Premier, and mortgage teams
- Meet quarterly metrics and service objectives (campaigns, cross-selling, referrals) alongside sales targets and incentives
- Complete required compliance training within defined timelines and maintain current knowledge of credit union products and services
- Perform account maintenance, including updating member contact and personal information
- Conduct follow-up activities and outbound calls for new and existing members
Requirements
- Minimum six months in a fast-paced sales or customer service role; financial services experience preferred
- Ability to listen to members’ needs and provide tailored product recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to express ideas concisely and logically
- Demonstrated time management skills and ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Comfort working in a fast-paced customer service and sales environment without sacrificing accuracy or service quality
- Aptitude for learning computer systems to resolve member issues
- Critical thinking, decision-making, and attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Notary certification preferred
