Responsibilities
- Provide an industry-leading client service experience by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships.
- Offer financial solutions tailored to client needs through consultative conversations and referrals to other business partners for additional growth opportunities.
- Perform teller duties as needed, including routine client maintenance, problem resolution, and advanced sales functions for deposit, credit, convenience, and other product lines.
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service, individual, and branch sales targets by promoting products and services and developing client relationships.
- Support team sales by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists.
- Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Enhance knowledge of sales techniques and products through training, meetings, and web-based learning to better serve consumer and business clients.
- Advise on consumer lending options and process loan applications.
- Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay informed of policy and procedure changes to ensure compliance.
- Lead sales initiatives within the branch and act as an expert resource.
- Deliver professional client service with consistent engagement, courteous conversation, and needs discovery during transactions.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 4 years of client sales and service experience.
- Experience with sourcing, prospecting, and building client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
- Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check (financial responsibility, character, credit fitness, and criminal background standards).
- Ability to meet ongoing regulatory requirements.
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
- Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignments or locale changes.
- Ability to work weekends, extended hours, and occasional overnights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience discussing, recommending, and selling deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumer and small business clients.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
