Responsibilities
- Provide an industry-leading client service experience in person and on the phone by developing and expanding new and existing client relationships.
- Offer financial solutions that meet client needs through consultative conversations and referrals to other business partners for additional growth opportunities.
- Cross-trained to perform required teller duties as needed.
- Handle routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and advanced sales functions for deposit, credit, convenience, and other product lines.
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service, individual, and branch sales targets by offering products and services with a focus on relationship development and retention.
- Support team sales by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists.
- Participate in Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Advance individual knowledge of sales techniques and product offerings through training, meetings, and web-based learning.
- Advise on consumer lending options and process loan applications.
- Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay informed of policy and procedure changes to ensure compliance.
- Ensure a consistent client service experience by engaging clients with courteous conversation, handling teller transactions, and assisting with branch navigation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 2 years of client sales and service experience.
- Experience with sourcing, prospecting, and building client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
- Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check (financial responsibility, character, credit fitness, and criminal background standards).
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
- Ability to travel for temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignments or locale changes.
- Ability to work weekends, extended hours, and occasional overnights.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience discussing, recommending, and selling deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumer and small business clients.
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
- General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
