About the role

This position focuses on sales and business development within a banking center, emphasizing consultative client engagement to identify and fulfill financial needs while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Engage clients in consultative conversations to understand financial priorities and recommend personalized banking solutions, including deposit accounts, loans, lines of credit, and referrals to other bank lines of business.
  • Actively identify and fulfill client deposit and borrowing needs by guiding clients through deposit and loan options, opening accounts, and taking loan applications.
  • Provide personalized financial advice aligned with clients’ short- and long-term goals, leveraging a deep understanding of the bank’s products and services.
  • Recognize opportunities to deepen client relationships by making referrals to bank partners, such as mortgage, wealth, private client, and business banking.
  • Conduct regular outreach to clients and prospects to offer tailored financial solutions.
  • Support a high-performing culture by coaching associates on sales, referrals, products, and services as needed.
  • Assist the teller line to minimize customer wait times, including processing financial transactions as needed.
  • Deliver excellent client experiences and promptly resolve client issues.
  • Enhance product and service knowledge by attending sales, service, and training meetings, classes, and web-based learning.
  • Ensure compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
  • Assist in conducting meetings to promote sales, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Support the Banking Center Manager with training personnel and on-the-job training for new associates.
  • Assist with dual control vault responsibilities and audit controls.
  • Stay informed of operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.

Qualifications

As part of the employment process, you will undergo a background credit check. This position requires compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations; ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting these requirements.
