Responsibilities
- Provide an industry-leading client service experience both in person and on the phone through developing and expanding new and existing client relationships.
- Offer financial solutions that meet client needs based on consultative conversations and referrals to other business partners for additional growth opportunities.
- Perform required teller duties as needed, including handling transactions and assisting clients within the branch.
- Exercise advanced proficiency with routine client maintenance requests, problem resolution, and advanced sales functions for deposit, credit, convenience, and other product lines.
- Contribute to meeting or exceeding client service, individual, and branch sales targets by offering products and services with a focus on relationship development and retention.
- Support team sales processes by conducting consultative conversations and referring complex client needs or financial goals to internal specialists.
- Participate fully in established Truist Retail Community Bank Leadership Routines.
- Advance individual knowledge of sales techniques and product offerings through training, meetings, and web-based learning.
- Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
- Adhere to internal controls, operational procedures, and risk management policies; stay informed of policy and procedure changes to ensure compliance.
- Ensure a consistent client service experience by engaging clients with courteous conversation while uncovering needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- 2 years of client sales and service experience.
- Experience with sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building client relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a desire to interact with clients and prospects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
- Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check (financial responsibility, character, credit fitness, and criminal background standards).
- Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
- Ability to travel to accommodate temporary staffing needs, including temporary assignments or locale changes.
- Ability to work weekends, extended hours, and occasional overnights as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a high level of service quality.
- Experience discussing, recommending, and selling various deposit, credit, and retirement products to consumer and small business clients.
- Demonstrated ability in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- General understanding of bank operations, policies, and procedures.
Pay
- Relationship Banker: Annual base salary of $45,760–$54,250. Additional incentive pay available.
- Senior Relationship Banker: Annual base salary of $45,760–$62,000. Additional incentive pay available.
