About the role
The Relationship Banker is a frontline financial partner who processes routine financial transactions and engages in consultative conversations to understand and meet members' financial needs. You’ll work in a fast-paced, supportive, and dynamic team environment, assisting members in-person, over the phone, and via email.
Responsibilities
- Quickly process routine financial transactions for members, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and cashier’s checks, while ensuring regulatory compliance and adherence to internal procedures
- Establish and maintain member deposit and loan accounts
- Provide the highest quality of member service by promptly addressing concerns and escalating to leadership when appropriate
- Proactively identify and recommend the best products and services to meet members’ financial needs, partnering with service teams including insurance, investments, Premier, and mortgage
- Meet quarterly metrics and service objectives (e.g., campaigns, cross-selling, and referrals), alongside sales targets and incentives to drive key business goals
- Complete required compliance training within defined timelines and maintain in-depth knowledge of all current credit union products and services
- Perform account maintenance activities, including updating member contact and personal information
- Perform follow-up activities and outbound calls for new and existing members
Requirements
- Minimum six (6) months in a fast-paced sales or customer service role; financial services experience preferred
- Ability to listen to members’ needs and provide tailored product recommendations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to express ideas concisely and logically
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced customer service and sales environment without sacrificing accuracy and service
- Aptitude for learning a variety of computer systems to solve member issues
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills with attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Notary certification preferred

Pay
Target compensation in Beaverton, OR: $20.50 to $24.75 per hour + monthly incentive.
