Job Description

The Relationship Banker II meets with customers and prospects in person and on the phone to determine financial needs and proactively offers appropriate products, services, and guidance to achieve their financial goals. This role is ideal for candidates with retail or sales experience who are committed to helping customers reach their financial objectives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Achieve branch targets and goals by identifying customer needs and providing guidance on Regions’ solutions.
  • Conduct outbound phone calls using generated lead lists to expand existing relationships and acquire new customers.
  • Educate and advise customers on Regions’ consumer and business products, including all loan and deposit types.
  • Teach customers about emerging technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
  • Provide a consistent optimal customer experience, including greeting customers and processing transactions.
  • Own and resolve customer issues; refer complex financial needs to internal experts.
  • Follow all bank processes, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations; manage, identify, and report operational risks.
  • Track time for hours worked in excess of 40 per week; eligible for overtime under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
  • Participate in incentive plans and maintain registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work Saturdays as needed.
  • Ability to handle cash and process cash transactions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication across in‑person, phone, and electronic channels.
  • Proficiency with computers, including typing and sustained monitor use.
  • Physical ability to walk, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 20 lb.

Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Life Insurance License.
  • At least one year of cash‑handling, banking, and/or customer service experience.

Skills and Competencies

  • Adherence to policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ability to assist customers with digital banking offerings.
  • Capability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience overseeing large sums of cash.
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong communication and customer focus.

Compensation

Pay ranges are job‑specific and provided as a point‑of‑market reference. Factors such as experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, location, and performance influence actual pay.

  • Minimum Job Range Target: $51,193.42 USD
  • Median: $61,227.60 USD

Incentive Pay Plans

  • Commission incentive plan based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
