About the role
The Retail Banker II Float is a Customer liaison integral to delivering TD’s Brand promise by utilizing financial expertise and consultative advice in advising Customers regarding personal banking solutions and needs. This role contributes to the achievement of business objectives that enable growth through identifying appropriate TD solutions that help Customers achieve their financial goals and optimize their relationship with TD. This role is accountable for working in multiple locations, requiring the ability to adapt to different contexts and settings.
Responsibilities
- Acts as a subject matter expert in the Store for both Customers and colleagues regarding all products, services, policies, and procedures of TD, especially personal and business banking.
- Makes product recommendations based on Customer needs, highlighting product features and benefits that support Customers through challenging times and life events, save time and money, and exceed their needs.
- Utilizes Customer Relationship Management tools to proactively play a key role in Customer assessments, identify Customer solutions, and lead focused outbound sales activities.
- Evaluates issues, errors, and problems based on practices and existing precedents or procedures.
- Explains detailed and/or complicated information within the team.
- Builds working relationships with customers and related teams.
- Participates in Customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities to deliver on TD’s unexpectedly human promise.
- Engages in conversations with customers about loan products and facilitates application intake.
- Maintains an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
- Delivers a Legendary Customer experience by helping Customers, building relationships, and providing service and advice.
- Understands and supports the Bank's Customer Service Strategy, delivering end-to-end advice: building trust, providing consultative support, and advocating for Customers with proactive insights and recommendations.
- Serves as a Customer advocate in providing resolution, proactive tips, and insights on saving time and money.
- Establishes and nurtures Customer relationships by displaying product knowledge, actively listening to needs, and offering solutions or partner referrals.
- Utilizes Customer relationship management tools to gather information and build insights for a deeper Customer experience.
- Engages in lobby leadership by orchestrating Customer flow, welcoming Customers, discovering needs, and guiding them appropriately.
- Educates Customers on self-service options that meet their banking preferences.
- May act as a point of escalation for Customer questions or concerns.
- Performs a variety of teller transactions including check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals while monitoring fraud mitigation and adhering to operational policies and procedures.
- Promotes the full suite of TD products, sales, services, and banking capabilities.
- Understands and applies operating policies and procedures.
- Supports the timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures.
- Escalates non-standard or high-risk transactions/activities as necessary.
- Ensures documentation is accurate and reflects client/business intentions, consistent with relevant rules and regulations.
- Ensures due diligence to support the accuracy of all customer transactions and activities.
- Complies with the Bank Code of Conduct.
- Contributes to business objectives for Operational Excellence by driving an operationally sound location.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year degree preferred.
- 2+ years of related experience required.
- Teller experience preferred.
- Cross-trained to take customer transactions.
- Requires agility, teamwork, and flexibility to adapt to different locations and environments.
- Must be able to do same-day travel to multiple work locations within a designated region or area.

- Notary License preferred.
- Must maintain an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
- Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act, 12 CFR Part 1026.36.
- Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS in accordance with the SAFE Act, 12 U.S.C.5102 et seq., and its implementing regulations, 12 CFR Part 1007.
- Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check, and statements/certification from the job applicant regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings by any government agency/authority, are required by federal law for this position.

Pay
$25.50 - $36.00 USD per hour. TD is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. The base pay offered may vary based on the candidate's skills, experience, job-related knowledge, geographic location, and other specific business and organizational needs.
