Relationship Banker II
About the role
Join Mascoma Bank’s Retail Team as a Relationship Banker II and help us improve our clients' financial well-being. At Mascoma Bank, we aim to provide exceptional customer service while enhancing the lives of our customers and communities. The Relationship Banker II will be one of the first points of contact with our customers, assisting them with daily banking transactions, inquiries, and providing exceptional service. This role also includes providing an elevated level of service, such as opening and closing accounts, promoting technology tools, discussing mortgage and lending options, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with daily banking needs including deposits and withdrawals.
- Build and enhance customer relationships by solving issues or identifying ways to improve their financial lives.
- Support customers through products and services to help them understand the best options for making banking easy.
- Be proficient in understanding all mortgage and home equity products and position these to customers through application and closing.
- Guide customers through account opening and application processes while setting expectations for managing their finances.
- Maintain a helpful, friendly, and positive attitude to ensure customers are happy they chose Mascoma Bank.
- Commit to putting the customer first in every interaction by taking ownership of their experience and striving for first-contact resolution.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, ensuring all negotiable and confidential records are properly secured.
- Understand and adhere to Mascoma Bank’s policies and procedures, including BSA/CIP, OFAC monitoring and reporting, security, operations, and personnel policies.
Requirements
- 1-3 years in retail banking; college degree preferred.
- Knowledge of computers and strong typing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in problem-solving.
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team.
- Flexibility in job schedules and work locations, including Saturday and early morning drive-up hours.
- Professional appearance consistent with Mascoma Bank’s appearance policy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of customer information.

$20.00 - $23.16 per hour.
