About the role
The Relationship Banker I role at Regions is designed for individuals with prior teller, limited banking, or retail sales experience. The primary responsibility is to provide exceptional customer service, improve financial wellness, and develop meaningful personal connections with customers.
Responsibilities
- Handle customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other typical teller activities.
- Answer customer inquiries and fulfill basic servicing requests like new/replacement cards, information changes, PIN resets, and check reordering.
- Build relationships with customers and stay informed about their banking needs.
- Provide education on standard consumer products and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings.
- Aid branch and team members in resolving customer issues and refer complex cases to internal experts.
- Adhere to bank processes, procedures, and regulations, including completing assigned tasks and ensuring sound banking practices.
- Identify customer needs and provide guidance on Regions' solutions, especially for more complex financial goals.
- Conduct outbound phone calls to educate customers on emerging technology and assist with their financial needs, eligible for overtime.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to work Saturdays as needed
- Handling cash and processing cash transactions
- Communicating in person, on the phone, and through electronic channels
- Using a computer frequently, including typing and sustained attention to a monitor
- Walking and standing for extended periods
- Lifting up to twenty (20) pounds
