Responsibilities
- Serve as the single point of contact for customers
- Connect with customers to understand their needs and match them with First United Bank products and services
- Mentor employees to do the same
- Master First United Bank's delivery process and product knowledge
- Follow proper procedures and policies accurately and efficiently for all customer-servicing activities
- Lead by example and serve as a role model for Tellers and Relationship Banker I positions
- Maintain existing customers and develop new customer relationships
- Exceed performance goals and actively participate in sales campaigns
- Identify and match customer product needs with First United Bank products and services
- Open new accounts, certificates of deposit, safe deposit boxes, and other ancillary products
- Assist customers with routine questions and requests
- Process a variety of transactions quickly with minimal or no errors
- Resolve customer complaints, problems, or other issues
- Review and resolve account issues listed in insufficient and exception reports
- Proactively resolve customer complaints, problems, or other issues
- Participate in all meetings, banks functions, and customer appreciation/community events
- Maintain branch cash supply and appropriate drawer limits
- Perform cash verifications and vault duties
- Resolve security functions by opening and closing bank and vault
Requirements
- High School Diploma strongly preferred
- Some college is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of banking experience as a Teller, Lending Assistant or New Accounts is required
- Cash handling experience is preferred

- Basic mathematics to solve problems
- Able to effectively read, write, and verbally communicate with customers and co-workers
- Able to manage time effectively and work independently, without close supervisor
- Able to use good judgment and exercise decision-making skills
- Critical Thinking – requires logic and reasoning to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Able to multi-task
- Maintain a professional attitude and appearance

- Active Listening – Actively looking for ways to assist customers. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
