- Monday through Friday: 7:15 am to 6:15 pm
- Saturday: 8:45 am to 1:00 pm
About the Role
The Relationship Banker will focus on product sales and exceptional customer service. The associate develops new customer relationships and strengthens existing ones by ensuring each customer is offered appropriate products and services to meet their financial needs. This role provides expert product advice, clear directions on self-service banking, transacts business accurately, and handles account servicing and problem resolution.
The Relationship Banker is a leveled position, beginning with an entry Level 1 and advancing to Level 3. Successful completion of all three levels may lead to an opportunity to advance into the Relationship Banker 4 leadership position.
- Level 1 – Training: Primary focus on training and development while working with a seasoned mentor. Progression to Level 2 depends on successful completion of all training.
- Level 2 – Proficient: Works independently on routine tasks and with general guidance on complex tasks. Demonstrates superior product knowledge and needs-based selling skills. Advancement to Level 3 is based on Branch Manager or Regional Management recommendation and demonstrated proficiency.
- Level 3 – Advanced: Demonstrates independent action and high initiative, resolves problems, and develops recommendations. Tasks range from complex to highly specialized. Serves as a mentor to Level 1 associates.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to achieving branch sales goals through a consultative sales approach with new and existing customers, following the sales process defined in the CFB Retail Sales Playbook.
- Identify and uncover customer financial needs through discovery conversations and offer appropriate solutions to provide a seamless, one-stop shopping experience.
- Refer qualified customers to specialized sales forces.
- Proactively make outbound calls to generate sales and strengthen customer relationships.
- Identify opportunities to sell consumer loans, accept applications, and facilitate loan closings while working effectively with the centralized underwriting department.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by acknowledging every customer promptly, greeting them warmly, using eye contact, and thanking them.
- Address customer complaints and follow the established complaint process to ensure satisfaction.
- Open and process simple to highly complex deposit accounts.
- Answer and assist with customer questions and concerns, including deposit risk management and day-to-day banking.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products, services, digital services, and delivery options.
- Support customer usage of products and services in the most convenient manner.
- Maintain knowledge of competitors’ products, practices, facilities, and prices to sell bank products effectively.
- Participate in branch promotions and marketing initiatives as directed.
- Use sound judgment in applying bank standards, policies, and procedures.
- Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, including completing compliance training, adhering to internal procedures, and reporting violations or suspicious activity.
Requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
- Level 1:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or ability to be registered within 30 days required.
- Demonstrated sales and customer service experience preferred.
- Financial service provider experience preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Level 2:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Achievement of defined competencies of Level 1 required.
- Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or ability to be registered within 30 days required.
- Level 3:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Successful achievement of defined competencies of Level 2 or relevant related experience required.
- Current NMLS SAFE Act Registration or ability to be registered within 30 days required.
- Relevant military experience is considered for veterans and transitioning service members.

Pay
Grade 12 Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.95 per hour.
