About the Role
Delivers exceptional experience to customers and prospects with a focus on meeting the financial needs of all areas of our community. Counsels clients, providing needs-based financial solutions, and actively seeks opportunities to expand relationships. Capable of supporting clients in-person or virtually. Works as an active member of the branch office sales/service team, providing support related to day-to-day branch operational activities and financial services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates as part of the branch team to achieve bank objectives through One Bank/One Team/One Brand discipline.
- Processes customer transactions (checks, deposits, withdrawals, payments, money orders, cashier’s checks, cash advances, wires) efficiently, accurately, and compliantly.
- Balances cash drawer, night deposits, and services the ATM.
- Assists with vault-related and ancillary operational duties.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and protect customer and bank assets.
- Maintains working knowledge of the Bank’s consumer deposit, loan product offerings, and business deposit and cash management services.
- Provides exemplary customer service, addressing questions about deposit accounts, loan activity, and fees.
- Researches complex customer concerns using available resources to ensure timely resolution.
- Engages and advises customers in-person or virtually to attract, retain, and grow relationships.
- Assists clients with deposit account and ancillary service selections, opening accounts in a timely manner.
- Counsels clients on consumer financing options and processes and closes consumer loans.
- Demonstrates and educates customers on the Bank’s technology products and services.
- Collaborates with internal partners to connect customers with specialized financial services, including Wealth Management, Cash Management, and Merchant Processing.
- Acts as a banking ambassador in the community by attending events, tabling, and educating the public on financial literacy and the Bank’s products and services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or General Banking Diploma preferred.
- Training in customer service, communication practices, and relationship building and management.
- Minimum of 4-6 years' experience in a related position.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively across various channels (face-to-face, email, video conference, text/chat, social media).
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Sound knowledge of branch transactional tasks and operations.
- Conversant in consumer and business financial products and services.
- Solid consumer lending skills.
- Proficient in the use of various types of technology and software.
