Responsibilities

  • Develop and cultivate long-term client relationships by providing insight, advice, and personalized financial solutions.
  • Retain and deepen existing client relationships through cross-selling, establishing new banking relationships, and referring clients to product partners (e.g., Mortgage, Investments, Small Business, Treasury Management, Merchant Services, Private Banking, Wealth Management, Commercial).
  • Educate clients on digital solutions and provide account servicing and maintenance.
  • Effectively resolve client servicing issues and process transactions.
  • Engage in community outreach efforts and participate in community organizations.
  • Achieve sales and service targets by marketing consumer and small business banking services through proactive techniques such as lobby engagement, outbound calls, marketing campaigns, and in-house events.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of banking products and services, applying it to fulfill client needs.
  • Proactively resolve moderate to complex customer maintenance and service issues using available resources.
  • Educate clients on emerging technology and digital solutions to enhance their service experience.
  • Execute all transactions accurately and in compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Follow fraud prevention procedures and stay updated on evolving fraud tactics.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of relationship-based client consultation and/or consultative sales experience (banking industry a plus).
  • Eligible to register with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) or currently NMLS registered.

Qualifications for Relationship Banker II

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of relationship-based client consultation and/or consultative sales experience.
  • Minimum one year of banking experience, including deposit/transaction processing, account servicing, new account opening, and consumer lending.
  • Currently registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) or previously registered and eligible to immediately re-register.

Key Measures of Success

  • Improve client retention through cross-selling, proactive outreach, and effective issue resolution.
  • Contribute to banking center’s financial success by achieving targets for loan production, new account production, referrals, and digital banking enrollment.
  • Acquire new Community Bank relationships through a strong referral network and outreach efforts.

Position Levels

There are two levels of Relationship Banker, depending on banking experience. Bankers must complete required training programs, maintain licensing, and demonstrate acceptable performance to advance.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $17.00/Hr. - $29.75/Hr. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.
