Responsibilities

  • Engage clients in consultative conversations to understand financial priorities and recommend personalized banking solutions, including deposit accounts, loans, lines of credit, and referrals to other bank lines of business.
  • Actively identify and fulfill client deposit and borrowing needs by guiding clients through deposit and loan options, opening accounts, and taking loan applications.
  • Provide personalized financial advice aligned with clients’ short- and long-term goals using a consultative approach.
  • Recognize opportunities to deepen client relationships by making referrals to bank partners, including mortgage, wealth, private client, and business banking.
  • Conduct regular outreach to clients and prospects to offer tailored financial solutions.
  • Support a high-performing culture by coaching associates on sales, referrals, products, and services as needed.
  • Assist the teller line to minimize customer wait time, including processing financial transactions as needed.
  • Deliver excellent client experiences and promptly resolve client issues.
  • Enhance product and service knowledge through training, meetings, and web-based learning.
  • Maintain compliance with bank regulations, policies, procedures, risk management, internal controls, and the First Horizon code of ethics.
  • Assist in meetings to promote sales, product knowledge, and customer service.
  • Support "on the job training" of new associates under banking center management.
  • Assist with dual control vault responsibilities and audit controls.
  • Stay informed of operational updates and changes to ensure compliance with current guidelines.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Universal Banker or Teller.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Must meet requirements of a background credit check.
  • Compliance with the S.A.F.E Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations; ongoing employment contingent on meeting these requirements.

Assessment

All candidates must complete the DeGarmo Retail Behavioral Assessment (approximately 12–15 minutes) to be considered for this position. Results must be submitted prior to application evaluation.
