About the role

The Reimbursement Specialist I is responsible for adjudicating and entering claims for all EBC products. This role receives workflow direction from the Reimbursement Manager.

Location: You can work from our Middleton, WI office, from your home office anywhere in Wisconsin, or a mix of both (hybrid) depending on what works best.

Responsibilities

  • Adjudicate reimbursement requests for all EBC products to determine payment or denial according to current IRS and organizational processing procedures.
  • Process claims accurately under the appropriate account making demographic changes as needed.
  • Process basic tasks from other departments related to claims for all EBC products.
  • Maintain productivity and accuracy standards on a monthly basis.
  • Identify claims trends, errors, and problem claims and notify senior team member and/or Reimbursement Manager.
  • Conduct and record monthly team member audits and communicate all relevant issues of audit findings to the Reimbursement Manager.
  • Communicate clearly and accurately with customers (internal and external), both verbally and in writing.
  • Safeguard confidentiality, privacy, and security of organization and customer personal information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • One year experience working in a professional office setting.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and adherence to productivity and accuracy standards.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute and 10-key speed of 9,500 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Previous claims processing experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience working with tax-advantaged benefit plans (preferred).
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word (preferred).
