Rehabilitation Aide - Occupational Therapy- full-time
About the role
Outpatient Occupational Therapy Department, South Bedford St, Burlington, with an Orthopedic and Neurological focus. This is a full-time, permanent, Monday-Friday position.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Obtains patient identification
- Obtains patient vital signs and monitors pain as directed by therapist; notifies therapist of abnormal vital signs, pain, or safety concerns
- Observes and reports any abnormal patient symptoms or behavior to appropriate personnel
- Assists therapists with patient treatments
- Sets up patient treatment areas in preparation for treatment
- Performs general maintenance, organization, and cleaning of the department and patient treatment areas
- Provides clerical support to the department including: patient registration and scheduling, collecting co-payments, sorting and filing documentation, creating spreadsheets, collecting and tracking data, retrieving patient information from medical records, answering department phones, monitoring department inventory, and ordering supplies when necessary
- May lead exercise programs or other educational initiatives under the direction of a therapist
- Maintains strict adherence to the Lahey Clinic Confidentiality policy
- Incorporates Lahey Clinic Guiding Principles, Mission Statement, and Goals into daily activities
- Complies with all Lahey Clinic Policies and behavioral expectations of the department and Lahey Clinic
- Maintains courteous and effective interactions with colleagues and patients
- Demonstrates an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment
- Demonstrates a commitment toward meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers and consistently adheres to Customer Service standards
- Participates in departmental and/or interdepartmental quality improvement activities
- Participates in and successfully completes Mandatory Education
- Performs all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Licensure, Certification, Registration: None required.

- Critical thinking ability and good judgment in the performance of daily tasks
Pay
$20.00 – $26.92 per hour. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, which may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
