Rehabilitation Aide: Baptist Easley, PRN, Weekends

Job Summary

Provides support to the clinical team in order to optimize quality and efficiency of patient care.

Essential Functions

• Assists therapists with patient care by transporting patients, assisting with a patient's personal care needs and monitoring the patient's condition and reporting status to appropriate individual.
• Prepares the rehab environment for patient care by cleaning and organizing treatment area and stocking area with necessary supplies.
• Aids in patient transfers, bed positioning, and exercise prescription, using safe body mechanics and proper technique as instructed.
• Functions as a supportive team member who collaborates well with others, offering assistance and effective communication regarding patient needs or statuses.
• Attends department, team, and organizational meetings as assigned.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience: No previous experience required.
• Certifications, Registrations, Licenses: BLS certification.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Basic computer skills.

Physical demands include but are not limited to: ability to lift up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, and operating equipment such as a wheelchair.
