Rehab Therapy Tech Specialist

You'll work closely with our therapists to support patient treatments, help families feel informed and comfortable, and keep daily therapy activities running smoothly. Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule rehab techs.
• Support daily therapy department processes and operations.
• Aid therapists with daily care and patient therapy as delegated.
• Communicate patient concerns and/or changes in condition to rehabilitation therapists.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Enhance patient safety by providing assistance, care, and comfort.
• Suggest processes for improvement.
• Stay aware of data on patient satisfaction and safety.
• Know how specific department performance impacts the overall hospital financials.
• Make recommendations to supervisor on departmental equipment needs.
• Assist with rehabilitation technology applications and modalities as delegated by therapist.

Qualifications

• BLS (CPR) required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire within this role.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of experience or a specialist certification such as ATC, massage therapist, AS, BS, or MS degree.
