About the role
The Dickinson RehabVisions Outpatient clinic has been serving the community for 25 years. Located on State Street, Dickinson, ND, the clinic operates on on-call/as-needed hours, approximately 10 - 20 hours per week. The position starts in August 3rd with a starting pay range of $13 - $14/hour.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Communication and Administration:
- Answer phones and take messages professionally.
- Greet patients, clients, family members, caregivers, and visitors warmly.
- Aid with the completion of paperwork, including intake forms, medical history, medications, and insurance.
- Perform clerical tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing.
- Support front-office processes and appointment reminders.
- Patient and Therapist Support:
- Follow directions from supervising therapists during patient mobility, transfers, ambulation, and therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and facility rules.
- Present a service-oriented approach with all interactions.
- Aid with equipment maintenance and inventory monitoring.
- Department Maintenance:
- Perform housekeeping tasks to keep the department clean.
- Help reduce costs and improve productivity.
- Foster positive relationships with the healthcare team, patients, and caregivers.
- Adhere to safety, risk, and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Must be at least 16 years old and maintain regular attendance.
- Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence.
- Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed instructions.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Experience with data entry and accurate typing; ability to relate positively and professionally with others; flexibility and willingness to adapt for efficient operations; ability to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Physical Demands
- Includes sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, and lifting up to 70 pounds with or without assistance.
- Requires fine hand coordination, hearing, reading, writing, and stress management.
- Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.
Work Environment
- Moderate noise levels.
- Potential exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids, especially in hospital and nursing home settings.
- Must be tolerant of patients recovering from surgeries, illnesses, and wounds.
