Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI), founded in 1991, is the largest orthopedic group practice in Illinois. With more than 150 physicians in every orthopedic specialty, IBJI offers care for adults and children from some of the most accomplished and respected orthopedists in the country. Serving northern Illinois and northwest Indiana with over 100 locations, IBJI provides comprehensive clinical services including advanced MRI imaging, pain management, non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports training. Ortho Access walk-in clinics offer same-day care for orthopedic injuries.
This part-time Rehabilitation Technician position is located at our Lindenhurst Rehab Services location. As a Rehab Technician at IBJI, you’ll be a vital member of the orthopedic team, contributing to both clinical care and the overall success of the clinic.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast-paced orthopedic rehab office.
- Perform daily clinic maintenance: cleaning treatment tables and equipment, changing linens, stocking supplies.
- Maintain orderly and safe conditions in the clinic by organizing exercise equipment.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to stay compliant with IBJI guidelines.
- Act as an extender to the therapists; assist clinicians with carrying out exercise programs for patients, including setup on equipment and modalities.
- Communicate with therapists on any observations made during the patient's exercise program.
- Take initiative in assisting clinicians with patient care.
- Print home exercise programs for patients under the direction of the clinician.
- Manage inventory of both clinical and non-clinical materials.
- For clinics utilizing techs for front desk support, perform clerical duties including checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co-pays, scanning, and answering phones.
- Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
- Follow HIPAA guidelines by protecting patient identity.
- Work with patients regardless of diagnosis, age, or background.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism, including prompt attendance and flexibility with established work hours.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Must be a student or have received a High School Diploma.
- Available for a part-time schedule (15 hours per week).
- Available to work opening and closing shifts.
Skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
- Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Windows, MS Office, and email access.
- Ability to lift 20 pounds to waist height.

Pay
$15.00 - $16.00 hourly.
