Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI), founded in 1991, is the largest orthopedic group practice in Illinois. With more than 150 physicians in every orthopedic specialty, IBJI offers care for adults and children from some of the most accomplished and respected orthopedists in the country. Serving northern Illinois and northwest Indiana with over 100 locations, IBJI provides comprehensive orthopedic services including advanced MRI imaging, pain management, non-surgical and surgical treatment plans, rheumatology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, wellness, and sports training. Ortho Access walk-in clinics offer same-day care for orthopedic injuries.

This part-time Rehabilitation Technician position is located at our Fox River Grove clinic and is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast-paced orthopedic rehab office.
• Perform daily clinic maintenance: cleaning treatment tables and equipment, changing linens, stocking supplies.
• Maintain orderly and safe clinic conditions by organizing exercise equipment.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance tasks to comply with IBJI guidelines.
• Assist clinicians with patient exercise programs, including equipment setup and modalities.
• Communicate observations about patient progress to therapists.
• Print home exercise programs for patients under clinician direction.
• Manage inventory of clinical and non-clinical materials.
• For clinics utilizing techs for front desk support, perform clerical duties such as checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co-pays, scanning documents, and answering phones.
• Provide daily support to rehab staff and management team.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient identity.
• Work with patients regardless of diagnosis, age, or background.
• Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism, including prompt attendance and flexibility with work hours.

Requirements

• Available to work part-time, 15 hours weekly.
• Available for morning and afternoon shifts.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented with effective time management skills.
• Professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Windows, MS Office, and email.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds to waist height.

Pay

$15.00–$16.00 hourly.
