Rehab Patient Support Tech - PRN Day

Neuro Rehab Coach (Rehab Support Tech, Therapy Aide, Caregiver, CNA, PCT) – PRN

About the role

This position functions under the direction of rehabilitation therapists and nurses to help individuals with a brain injury (TBI) or spinal cord injury (SCI) regain their independence and return home. You will be part of the therapy and nursing team, playing a key role in helping patients re-learn to walk, talk, dress, cook, and manage their own medical needs. Experience with TBI or SCI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with day-to-day living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, cooking, washing clothes, making their bed, loading the dishwasher, and cleaning their suite.
• Drive patients into the community for medical appointments and community activities.
• Assist rehabilitation therapists with patient activities.
• Assist patients with nurse-delegated tasks after completing competency training, including taking vital signs, medication administration, and peg tube feedings.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current State Driver’s License in good standing required.
• Certified BLS completion required (see CPR Requirement Guidelines for New Hires).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Neuro Transitional Rehab experience.
• Therapy or Rehab Aide experience.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Certified Medication Aide certification.
• Experience working with TBI and SCI patients.

Pay

$22.00 per hour

Schedule

6:45 a.m. – 7:15 p.m.
