About the role
Supports the efficiency of the Licensed Therapy Provider and the smooth functioning of the rehabilitation department. Direct patient contact activities under supervision, including patient positioning and transfers, preparation and application of therapeutic modalities, and assisting with exercises and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Start treatments when patients are overlapped and solve problems efficiently.
- Communicate with patients and therapists, anticipate needs, and convey concerns and treatment responses.
- Perform registration, scheduling, cashiering, admitting, and follow-up tasks to ensure efficient patient care.
- Coordinate patient appointments with other departments or physician offices as needed.
- Handle reception and clerical duties such as answering phones, taking messages, and managing patient records.
- Review and route therapy orders in the EMR system.
- Maintain department files, binders, and records, process billing/reimbursement forms, and track authorization needs.
- Order, stock, and organize therapy equipment and supplies, and monitor the therapy environment to meet patient standards.
- Clean and disinfect gym/treatment areas, equipment, and linens.
- Complete routine maintenance and safety checks, and complete work orders.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
- High School Graduate.
- Typically requires 1 year of experience in health care, public relations, or health care education.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Intermediate computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet software, data entry, and keyboarding.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., lift and carry up to 40 lbs., push/pull with 30 lbs. of force, perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
- Functional speech, hearing, and sight.
- Ability to operate all necessary equipment.

Pay
$20.80 - $31.20 per hour.
Schedule
Monday-Thursday: 9:45am - 6:15 pm
Friday: 9:00-5:30
