Rehab - Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) PRN Days
About the role
Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC," is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. Although small in size, CRMC offers a wide range of services comparable to those found in larger cities.
Job Duties
- Collect, assess and record required patient information such as medical history
- Implement treatment plans and help patients perform therapeutic activities
- Instruct patients and their families in the skills and techniques of a treatment program
- Maintain accurate patient treatment records
- Maintain the work area and equipment; order supplies
- Attend meetings to review treatments and patient progress
- Maintain professional knowledge and technical progress to provide best treatments available
- Comply with federal, state and local certification requirements
- Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
Job Requirements
- Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
- Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
- Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
- Accurate clinical assessment skills regarding patient medical conditions
- Ability and willingness to accurately and appropriately document patient care notes in a timely manner in accordance with billing and regulatory requirements
- Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech
Education And Experience
- Graduate of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant degree program certified by Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) or American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
- Current Kansas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification
- Current BLS Certification
- 1-2 years’ experience in an acute or clinical setting, preferred

Pay
$26.53 - $35.89
Schedule
Variable, based on patient needs and departmental requirements.
