About the Role
Provides support to the clinical team in order to optimize quality and efficiency of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assists therapists with patient care by transporting patients, assisting with a patient's personal care needs, and monitoring the patient's condition and reporting status to the appropriate individual.
- Prepares the rehab environment for patient care by cleaning and organizing the treatment area and stocking it with necessary supplies.
- Assists therapist with patient transfers, bed positioning, and exercise prescription, utilizing safe body mechanics and proper technique as instructed.
- Functions as a team member who supports and collaborates well with others, offering assistance and communicating effectively about patient needs or status.
- Attends department, team, and organization meetings as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No previous experience required.
- BLS certification.
- Basic computer skills.
Schedule
Day shift (United States of America).
Location: Forest Drive Columbia, 1510 Richland Hospital, Department of Rehabilitative Services Ortho Admin.
