Regulatory Specialist

Regulatory Affairs Specialist Location: West Caldwell, NJ Schedule: Monday–Friday, Fully Onsite Employment Type: Direct Hire Salary: $75,000–$85,000, depending on experience Position Overview Seeking a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support regulatory compliance for flavor, fragrance, personal care, and specialty chemical ingredients. This role focuses on regulatory documentation, customer requests, certifications, and monitoring regulatory changes. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), product specifications, and regulatory documents. Respond to customer questionnaires regarding allergens, GMO status, Prop 65, TSCA, and product compliance. Ensure compliance with applicable FDA, FEMA GRAS, IFRA, GHS/OSHA, and international regulations. Maintain Kosher/Halal certifications and supplier documentation. Monitor regulatory changes and maintain accurate databases and records. Support audits, food safety programs, and GMP compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of regulatory experience in flavors, fragrances, food ingredients, cosmetics, or specialty chemicals. Knowledge of FDA regulations, FEMA GRAS, IFRA Standards, GHS/OSHA, and TSCA. Experience preparing SDS documents and responding to customer regulatory requests. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with REACH, CLP, Kosher/Halal certifications, FSMA, or GMP is a plus.
