Regulatory Senior Compliance Analyst
About the role
The North America Product Governance Team supports and guides business partners in product governance with US regulatory requirements in conjunction with Legal NA. This includes preparing rates, rules, and policy forms for filing and negotiating approvals to ensure consistency and speed to market.
Responsibilities
- Filing the forms, rates, loss costs, and rules developed with state insurance regulators to comply with statutory requirements and market to policyholders.
- Utilizing the NAIC (SERFF) and Florida I-File automated software application for filings.
- Working with actuary staff and lines of business (LOBs) to develop statistically sound supporting data for filing submissions.
- Coordinating activities and ensuring timely submission of loss costs, rates, rules, and form adoptions.
- Negotiating approval with state Departments of Insurance.
- Maintaining StateFilings.com.
- Maintaining records of form numbers by LOB and assigning new numbers as requested by LOB.
- Researching filing requirements and staying informed regarding various procedures and processes that can impact the implementation and compliance of a new product or program.
- Understanding deregulation guidelines by state.
- Understanding and staying abreast of trends in the industry.
- Tracking policyholder notice requirements, including maintaining knowledge of cancellation and non-renewal requirements and where they can be found.
- Advising on issues to ensure compliant underwriting and policy issuance as requested.
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of experience working in regulatory and government relations for a Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance Company, including knowledge of P&C products; Experience reviewing and analyzing state statutes and regulations; Experience performing rate, rule, and form analysis; Experience working with state regulators, rating bureaus, and Departments of Insurance; Strong understanding of regulatory processes and procedures including a background working in a compliance environment; Strong knowledge of SERFF, I-File, and the rate, rule, and form filing process; Ability to analyze legislative and regulatory requirements, determine their impact, and provide an action plan to be implemented; Ability to build and foster relationships across the organization with various levels of stakeholders; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to multi-task; A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.

A Bachelor’s degree.

$78,000 - $110,000 annually.
