About the role
We are seeking a Regulatory Engineer or Senior Regulatory Engineer to support nuclear plant operations at a nuclear station.
Responsibilities
- Performing regulatory and technical tasks with minimal supervision
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry codes, and licensing basis
- Supporting regulatory programs such as corrective actions, self-assessments, and communication with NRC and state agencies
- Managing day-to-day operations related to plant safety, including UFSAR changes, Technical Specifications, inspection planning, and operating experience integration
- Providing regulatory support for dry cask storage programs and resolving licensing issues
- Recommending process improvements and participating in emergency response, outage support, and departmental coverage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, mechanical, or nuclear)
- For Mid-level: 2+ years nuclear or related engineering experience; for Senior: 5+ years
- Favorable medical and security clearances
Preferred skills
- Nuclear power experience
- Engineer in training certification
- Prior nuclear operator licensing
- Advanced technical degrees
