Responsibilities
- Lead FCC compliance testing and certification activities for wireless and radar products, including Part 15, Part 87, and Part 90 requirements
- Plan and execute transmitter compliance testing, including output power, bandwidth, frequency stability, and emissions measurements
- Own Part 15 unintentional radiator testing, including radiated and conducted emissions
- Cook up testing and certification activities with external compliance labs and Telecom Certification Bodies (TCBs)
- Support environmental qualification testing, including shock, vibration, temperature, humidity, and other applicable standards
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions to improve compliance margins
- Develop compliance documentation, test plans, certification exhibits, and qualification reports
- Partner with hardware, RF, firmware, and systems engineers to build compliance into product designs early and efficiently
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, RF testing, qualification testing, or related engineering roles
- Experience with FCC intentional radiator certification under Part 15 and/or Part 87 and/or Part 90
- Hands-on lab experience and strong debugging skills
- Experience working directly with compliance laboratories, certification bodies, or regulatory agencies
- Strong understanding of RF system behavior, EMI mitigation, grounding, shielding, filtering, and system-level troubleshooting
- Experience developing test plans, documentation, and compliance reports
- Ability to work onsite at our Hoffman Estates facility with occasional travel to compliance and environmental test labs

Skills
- Experience with radar systems, RF communications, or advanced sensing technologies
- Familiarity with EMC design best practices and pre-compliance testing techniques
- Experience supporting products from development through certification and production
- Experience in aerospace, defense, telecommunications, or other highly regulated industries
