About the role

Leads clinical teams to develop strategies for clinical standardization and improve patient outcomes based on national best practices and guidelines.

Serves as the content expert on specialty-based local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies, ensuring compliance with applicable accreditation requirements.

Partners with physicians and clinical leadership during the development of new clinical programs to provide content expertise on regulatory requirements and ensure implementation of standardized clinical processes.

Develops and maintains relationships and effective communication with all levels of physicians and staff to facilitate problem identification and resolution.

Serves as the liaison for the team in the development of standardized policies, standard operating procedures, and power plans in collaboration with clinical operation leadership.

Relays internal and external communications related to accreditation, regulation, and licensing.

Responsibilities

  • Leads clinical teams to develop strategies for clinical standardization and improve patient outcomes based on national best practices and guidelines.
  • Serves as the content expert on specialty-based local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies, ensuring compliance with applicable accreditation requirements.
  • Performs routine readiness rounding in clinical areas to identify areas of opportunity and prepare for regulatory or accreditation site visits.
  • Analyzes, interprets, and makes recommendations to meet federal, state, and local requirements, establishing mechanisms for proactive identification of regulatory issues and tracking corrective actions.
  • Partners with physicians and clinical leadership during the development of new clinical programs to provide content expertise on regulatory requirements and ensure implementation of standardized clinical processes.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and effective communication with all levels of physicians and staff to facilitate problem identification and resolution.
  • Serves as the liaison for the team in the development of standardized policies, standard operating procedures, and power plans in collaboration with clinical operation leadership.
  • Researches best practices and national guidelines to ensure policies are evidence-based and align with national specialty guidelines, overseeing the ongoing review process to ensure content reflects the most recent evidence-based guidelines.
  • Serves as the liaison between Risk Management, Accreditation, and Campus Teams to proactively identify potential safety concerns and assists as a subject matter expert in responding to patient events.
  • Relays internal and external communications related to accreditation, regulation, and licensing.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to lead teams through process changes and sustainment.
  • Effective computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Competency in personal leadership abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities to achieve organizational goals
  • Knowledge of national and state regulatory guidelines
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of patient safety guidelines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, PowerBI, and Visio)
  • Change Management training (Prosci®, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other allied health related field
  • Diploma Nursing
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other allied health related field

Skills

  • Knowledge of national and state regulatory guidelines
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of patient safety guidelines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, PowerBI, and Visio)
  • Change Management training (Prosci®, etc.)
