About the role
ActioNet is seeking a Laborer to join our team at multiple CONUS sites across Vienna, VA; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Zanesville, OH; Blue Ash, OH; Bangor, ME; Chattanooga, TN; Alcoa, TN; Madison, WI; Milwaukee, WI; Battle Creek, MI; and Portsmouth, NH.
In this role, you will assist engineers and technicians with placement of infrastructure components and pre-configuration. You will perform tasks involving physical labor at installation sites to aid daily operations.
Responsibilities
- Performs tasks involving physical labor at installation sites to aid daily operations.
- Assists in movement of equipment, racks, boxes, and pallets.
- Assists in cleanup and restoration of facilities to pre-install conditions.
- Disposes of waste materials.
- Performs site preparation and implementation activities required to implement approved ISP/OSP solution.
- Operates hand and power tools of all types, including air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.
- May clean and prepare sites; dig trenches; set braces to support the sides of excavations; erect scaffolding; and clean up rubble, debris, and other waste materials.
- Assists in the installation of ISP/OSP cabling, installation of racks/cabinets, and equipment.
- Racks and stacks network devices.
- Performs cable dressing, labeling, and documentation.
- Assists in restoration activities to return site to previous condition before project work.
Requirements
- High School diploma.
- 5 years of experience.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
