Schedule

Monday - Friday with an 11PM start time.

Pay

Non-CDL Delivery Drivers earn $30.61 per hour, increasing to $32.79 per hour after six months. Overtime compensation is also provided.

Responsibilities

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 100 lbs. occasionally.
  • Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries.
  • Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of 25,900 or less.
  • Use a hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into customer locations, including navigating stairs as necessary.
  • Accurately record delivery information using a hand scanner and complete all required company documentation.
  • Handle proper documentation and disposition for any return product.
  • Communicate delivery or customer issues to the appropriate authority (e.g., Customer Service, Territory Manager, Transportation Supervisor).
  • Deliver product to designated stops following the provided sequence.
  • Unload product safely and stage it in customer-designated spaces.
  • Verify invoice accuracy for complete delivery.
  • Process paperwork and handle damaged merchandise if applicable.
  • Collect payments when necessary.
  • Monitor the refrigeration system on the delivery vehicle for safety and follow all safe food handling procedures.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including monitoring fluid levels, tires, windshield wash, and replenishing fuel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license issued by the state of legal residence, with proper endorsements if required.
  • No more than two convictions in the past two years for traffic violations, with no more than one being a serious DOT-defined violation (e.g., leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, homicide/assault, eluding police, at-fault offense, refusing a breathalyzer test, committing a felony with a vehicle).
  • No DUI convictions in the past three years.
  • No driver’s license suspensions in the past three years (insurance and overweight tickets excluded).
  • No termination by a previous employer for failure to comply with safety regulations or accident involvement.
  • Must pass a DOT physical and pre-employment testing, including a background check.
  • One year of multi-stop delivery experience or six months of local delivery experience and/or foodservice industry experience.
  • Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations.
  • Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Knowledge of the delivery area and/or map-reading abilities.
  • Use of safe lifting and loading techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed to service customers.
