About the role
This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reporting of patient utilization data as mandated by state regulations through collection, verification, and submission of data for patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Responsibilities
- Develop positive relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including regulatory agencies
- Understand key regulatory and public policy issues and participate in discussions to educate stakeholders and influence policies
- Coordinate with IT teams, hospital departmental leaders, and external agencies to ensure reporting accuracy and process improvement
- Maintain accurate and official licensed bed inventories and listings
- Participate in facility site visits to complete and validate physical licensed bed inventory
- Create and maintain AutoCAD plans for hospital licensed beds/units
- Research and share knowledge of regulatory requirements for special projects
- Assume responsibility for professional growth and development
- Manage special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Health Planning, Business, Communications or related field preferred
- 1+ years of relevant experience required
- National Notary Association Notary Public (NNANP) certification preferred

- Strong problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in email, calendar, spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software (e.g. Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge and understanding of health care regulations and regulatory reporting requirements (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge and ability to navigate AdventHealth's multiple information systems (preferred)
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing standards (preferred)
