Registration Representative I- PRN/Float

About the role

Baptist Health Care is seeking PRN Team Members who will perform various data entry and general registration functions for outpatient departments. This is a PRN (as-needed) position with shifts assigned based on departmental staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Accurately collect patient demographic and insurance data to ensure appropriate reimbursement and claim filing.
• Utilize technology to accurately quote and collect patient liabilities identified by the insurance company.
• Follow all registration and admitting policies and procedures.
• Arrange the admission of patients of all ages to the Hospital.
• Act as a resource in providing the highest level of service to all customers.
• Enhance the hospital experience for patients, families, and visitors by providing appropriate hospitality and concierge services.
• Act as the initial greeter for all patients/visitors entering the facility.
• Complete all registrations in a professional, accurate, and customer-oriented manner.
• Obtain information from patient health insurance or managed care identification cards.
• Distribute to patients or their representatives any required handouts.
• Maintain forms in all printers at all times, which may require lifting or carrying cases of forms.
• Maintain knowledge of all software and hardware computerized equipment.
• Perform administrative tasks to arrange patient admissions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum 6 months relevant revenue cycle or customer service experience
