Registration Representative

Responsibilities

• Proficient in the patient registration and scheduling requirements of the Outpatient functions
• Act as the financial interpreter for patients by advising them of their financial responsibilities
• Provide patients or their legal representative with concise and easily understood information about their healthcare coverage
• Receive and screen visitors and telephone calls for department
• Schedule outpatient services
• Perform registration process in accordance with Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures
• Possess a thorough understanding of all other operational functions within the department
• Demonstrate proficiency in downtime procedures

Requirements

• Medical Terminology required
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
• ICD coding experience
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of third party payer, federal and state regulations desired
• Highly motivated
• Enthusiastic team player

Pay

• Salary Range: 17.30 - 23.36 USD
