Scheduled Weekly Hours

Scheduled as a 32 hour day shift position with varied days and shifts (8-430 or 830-5) including every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 7am to 330pm and alternating holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Register patients and update information in the patient’s electronic medical record.
  • Perform a variety of administrative tasks to ensure that patient demographic, financial and mandated information is accurate based on available information.
  • Provide patients and/or family members with required regulatory informational documents regarding their visit or admission.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent guest relations and telephone demeanor.
  • Professional handling of all interactions within a fast-paced, hectic and emotionally charged clinical environment.
  • Critical thinking to handle urgent or emergent situations according to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of computer experience.
  • Minimum one to two years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.

Education

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Salary Range

The salary range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value Sturdy Health’s benefits package (if applicable), which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement. For annual salaries this is based on full-time employment.
