About the Role

The Registrar provides essential clerical support by managing patient registration, insurance verification, financial assistance, and Point of Service Collections. This role ensures compliance with financial and confidentiality regulations to support seamless patient care and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Register and pre-register patients efficiently to minimize wait times.
• Obtain and verify complete patient information.
• Complete medical record requests per department guidelines.
• Document payer details, patient issues, and communication in the system.
• Ensure proper completion of registration forms and provide patient education on rights, advance directives, and financial assistance.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Clerical experience with excellent communication and computer skills.
• Typing speed of at least 30 wpm.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with insurance authorization.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Cerner).
• BLS certification.
