About the role
Responsible for greeting and registering/admitting patients. Inputs patient demographics and insurance coverage into systems. Documents communications, actions, and other data in systems.
- Gathers pertinent information regarding patient insurance coverage to confirm the patient's financial obligations for services.
- Verifies insurance coverage and obtains required authorizations when necessary.
- Reviews forms/paperwork and obtains necessary consents and signatures from patient and/or family.
- Explains policies and procedures and answers routine questions.
- Works with others for patient intake/bed assignment.
- Follows all established policies and procedures to ensure patient confidentiality, data security, and compliance with regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Education Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
- Experience Required: 1 year of customer service
