About the role

Responsible for greeting and registering/admitting patients. Inputs patient demographics and insurance coverage into systems. Documents communications, actions, and other data in systems.

• Gathers pertinent information regarding patient insurance coverage to confirm the patient's financial obligations for services.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains required authorizations when necessary.
• Reviews forms/paperwork and obtains necessary consents and signatures from patient and/or family.
• Explains policies and procedures and answers routine questions.
• Works with others for patient intake/bed assignment.
• Follows all established policies and procedures to ensure patient confidentiality, data security, and compliance with regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
