RegisteredNurse/Licensed Practical Nurse

CHD’s Crisis Stabilization Unit in Chicopee is seeking full-time and part-time Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to provide critical care to adults and teens in crisis. The unit offers crisis intervention, outpatient behavioral health, and brief stabilization services in a supportive, client-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, advance practice nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other professionals
• Engage with guardians, relatives, and significant others of people served when clinically indicated
• Document assessments and treatments in the electronic health record
• Monitor vital signs
• Assess signs of substance withdrawal using standardized tools (e.g., COWS, CIWA, CIWAb)
• Fill physician orders and administer medications
• Participate in medication reconciliation and coordinate medical care
• Contribute to comprehensive assessments
• Provide brief crisis counseling and psychoeducation
• Assist with individualized crisis prevention planning, discharge planning, and care coordination

Requirements

• Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts
• NPI Number (Required)

Pay

• RN: $45.00/hr
• LPN: $36.50/hr

Schedule

• Days, evenings, and overnights available
• Must be able to work every other weekend
