Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Carr Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced, client-focused Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and surgery in a dynamic general practice environment.

We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital. This position balances exam room care, surgical support, and client communication.
Responsibilities
- Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
- Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Perform dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography
- Maintain accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital
- Build strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
Requirements
- Licensed RVT in good standing in North Carolina (or out-of-state credentialed technicians eligible to transfer their license to NC)
- Recent graduates actively awaiting VTNE results or in the licensure process
- Experienced Veterinary Assistants who are currently pursuing or planning to pursue their RVT licensure
- 3+ years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience (required)
- Exotics animal experience (preferred)

Schedule
This is a full-time position, working approximately 4.5 days per week, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday. No weekends and no on-call requirements.
Pay
$20 - $23 per hour, based on skills and credentials.
