Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

About the Role

Creekside Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and full dental cleanings and radiographs
• Support efficient exam room workflow and ensure strong, clear client communication
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity
• Collaborate with your team and support the veterinarian's orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care
• Participate in case rounds held several times per year—with lunch included—earning CE credit and enhancing clinical knowledge

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Indiana
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoring
  • Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and recovery
  • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Client education and communication
  • Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
  • Effective teamwork and professional communication skills
• Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply

Schedule

• Flexible position open to either full-time or part-time
• Full-time: 3.5 days Monday through Friday with rotating Saturday shifts required
• Part-time: dependent on your availability, but still requires rotating Saturdays

Compensation

• $20 - $25.50 per hour, for each hour worked
